PromptMorpher

Privacy Policy

PromptMorpher is a browser extension that helps users improve prompts written in web text fields. This policy explains what data the extension processes, where that data goes, and what controls users have.

Effective date: May 7, 2026

What PromptMorpher Processes

PromptMorpher may process text that a user explicitly chooses to enhance in a textarea, text input, or contenteditable field.

  • Prompt text entered by the user
  • Related page context needed to improve the prompt
  • Local extension settings and workflow preferences
  • Local memory, graph, and transparency or debug data created by the extension

PromptMorpher is designed to act only when the user intentionally triggers an enhancement.

What PromptMorpher Stores Locally

PromptMorpher stores the following data locally in the browser using chrome.storage.local:

  • User settings
  • Enabled workflow packs and preferences
  • Local memory used to improve future prompt enhancements
  • Embedding cache
  • Knowledge graph data
  • Reinforcement and transparency state

This local data stays in the browser profile unless the user clears it, exports it, imports it, or removes the extension.

Network Requests

When the user runs an enhancement, PromptMorpher sends the selected prompt content to:

  • A user-configured endpoint, or
  • A developer-managed backend configured for the extension

The extension does not use telemetry or analytics by default.

PromptMorpher does not download or execute remote JavaScript, WebAssembly, or other remote code. Network responses are treated as data only.

Data Sharing

PromptMorpher does not sell user data.

PromptMorpher does not transfer user data to third parties except as necessary to send the user's prompt to the configured enhancement endpoint or managed backend chosen for the product's prompt-improvement function.

User Controls

  • Review and change settings locally
  • Clear local memory and graph data
  • Export memory data
  • Import memory data
  • Stop using the extension at any time
  • Remove the extension to delete future access

Security and Limitations

PromptMorpher is intended to use HTTPS endpoints, except localhost or 127.0.0.1 for local development and testing.

Users are responsible for the endpoint they configure or choose to use. If a configured endpoint is operated by a third party, that operator's privacy and security practices will apply to prompt content sent to that endpoint.

Children

PromptMorpher is not intended for children under 13.
